Mavel’s masterpiece, Black Panther, has surpassed The Avengers for the title of Top Grossing Superhero movie of all-time in the United States.
Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, finished this past weekend grossing just over $630.9 million domestically since opening on February 16th. Not only is the hit action film the highest Superhero movie, it moves into the 5th spot all-time domestically passing Marvel’s The Avengers. It still has a little over 300 million to go to catch Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6 Million) at the top spot.
Marvel’s Black Panther now has a worldwide gross total of $1.237 billion and currently sits 12th on that list (Avatar 2.788 billion).
