Breaking: Disney Skyliner Transportation System Will Open On September 29, 2019

A new dawn of transportation at the Walt Disney World Resort will hit the sky very soon!  Disney just announced that the Disney Skyliner Transportation System will begin transporting guests via the sky on September 29, 2019.  

The amazing new system has been in testing mode for the past few months.  Guest have witnessed the colorful character gondolas traveling through the sky around the Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot resort areas for a while now sparking questions of when will it officially open.  We now know!

Some interesting facts about the Disney Skyliner:  Over 6 miles of cable will be used to connect the entire system.  There will be 5 loading stations.  The Skyliner will service 4 different resorts (Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort).  There will be 3 lines and 2 connecting theme parks (Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios).  The new transportation system will give guests some unique views of the Resort that were never able to be seen before.
