The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is located at the end of Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and debut on July 22, 1994.  The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror transports you back to the Hollywood Tower Hotel as it was in 1939 and puts you  in your own The Twilight Zone episode.  The queue really puts you in the mood as you wander through the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel gardens, the walkways, the grand foyer and of course…the boiler room.  You enter your “elevator” ride vehicle from the boiler room and make your trip up to the 13th floor.  Before your elevator is dropped you experience apparitions that warn you of troubles ahead but you proceed anyways.  This is when the true terror begins as you are dropped multiple times from the 13 story Hollywood Tower Hotel’s elevator shaft experiencing complete weightlessness.  After experienceing multiple drops you return…safely.  The attraction ends and you are lead out into the Tower Hotel Gifts shop.  FastPass+ is available for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and we highly recommend using for this attraction.  If you do not have a FastPass+ reservation for the Tower of Terror we suggest heading over there right at park opening.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has a minimum height requirement to ride – 40″

Touring Tips

• If you are going to wait in the stand by line make sure you are aware of the Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage show ending times.  Typically a fairly large percentage of guests exiting the stage show head for either The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster so try to avoid the rush.
