Splash Mountain (FP+)

Frontierland

Based on Walt Disney’s 1946 classic movie, Song of the South, Splash Mountain is a thrilling and adventurous 11 minute log ride journey through the swamps and woods of Chickapin Hill. Along the way you will meet Brer Rabbit and go with him on his search for adventure but watch out for Brer Fox and Brer Bear as they have some tricks up their sleeves! This journey includes a handful of small drops and one large 50 foot plunge into the Briar Patch as you travel up to 40 mph. Oh yeah, one more thing…you WILL get wet!! One of Disney’s iconic and catchy songs originated from Song of the South and this attraction ends with the grand singing of Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah. This is a can’t miss attraction especially during the hot Disney summers. Splash Mountain opened on October 2, 1992 and is located in the back left corner of the Magic Kingdom in Frontierland. FastPass+ is available and is highly recommended.

Splash Mountain has a minimum height requirement to ride – 40″

Touring Tips

• If you do not have a FastPass+ reservation for Splash Mountain we advise you to ride early in the morning or during extra magic hours for the shortest waits.

• How to ride Splash Mountain without getting wet. Well, most likely you will get a bit wet but if you want to give yourself the best chance to stay dry, ask for the back row.

• Try riding Splash Mountain at night as the nighttime views are great.
