Have you ever been in your Walt Disney World Resort room and wondered when the next bus to the theme parks, water parks or Disney Springs was coming? Now you can check Disney Transportation Bus arrival times right from your My Disney Experience app! One of the great benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is the free transportation to the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Each resort have bus stops located throughout that the busses pick up guests from and typically arrive every 20 minutes.
If you have stayed at a Walt Disney World Resort in the past couple of years you might have noticed the monitors at the bus stops that show you estimated arrival times. Now you can access these arrival times from anywhere via your My Disney Experience app on your mobile phone.
So how do you access Disney Transportation Bus arrival times from your My Disney Experience App? It’s simple! Open up the application on your phone. Tap on your resort reservation. Tap on “See Bus Times”. The next screen will display the different bus stops that are located at the resort you are staying at. Most of Walt Disney World Resorts have multiple bus stops and this gives you a look at all the times from all the different bus stops.
Not only does this brand new option on the My Disney Experience app give you the estimated next bus arrival times to your resort bus stop it also gives you the estimated arrival time of your ultimate destination. For example, if you are traveling from Disney’s Old Key West Resort and are waiting for the bus at the “Old Turtle Road” bus stop you will see that the bus for Disney’s Hollywood Studios will pick you up at 2:12 pm and arrive at the park at 2:36 pm. The monitors that are located at the bus stops currently only give you arrival time to the bus stop and not to the estimated time it will take to get to the destination.
Travel Tips: Using the “See Bus Times” option on the My Disney Experience app can be done from your resort room. This ultimately lets you know how much time you have to get to the bus stop. How many times have you arrived a few minutes late or arrive and notice the bus to your destination is still 20 minutes away. This gives you the ability to maximize your time and planning and get to the bus stop right now time. The times are updated in real-time but remember traffic delays etc. can push the arrival time back a bit on occasion.
