According to BoxOfficeMojo.com Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ broke both the domestic and worldwide record for sales for its opening weekend. Although initial speculation was that it was not going to break the records, a very strong weekend pushed it to the #1 spot.
Audiences across the country poured into theaters to experience the latest Marvel film on opening weekend to the tune of $250,000,000 million domestically and $630,000,000 worldwide. The domestic total edged the now second ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ by just over $2 million but sped right by ‘The Fate of the Furious’ by $88 million in total worldwide opening sales. Internationally, Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, now holds the second spot all-time opening weekend box office revenue with a whopping $380,000,000.
