2017 Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Top 3 UNDERRATED Rides, Attractions and Shows

With well over one hundred rides, attractions and shows, Walt Disney World has plenty of amazing experiences to enjoy day after day.  Magic Kingdom alone has almost 50 exciting (and some not so exciting) rides, attractions and shows to experience with even the most casual Disney fan able to name most of the popular ones.  We are asked a lot what our “not to miss” rides, attractions and shows are in Walt Disney World…and some of our answers might surprise you.

Today we are going to take a look at WDW Kingdom’s Top 3 underrated rides, attractions and shows in the Magic Kingdom.

  1. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor

If you are a fan of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. you will know that the sound of a child laughing is ten times more powerful than a scream. With this in mind, the Monsters of Monstropolis decided to open up a comedy club to capture the laughter and hence Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor was born. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor opened up in Tomorrowland on April 2, 2007 and has been collecting laughs ever since. Mike Wazowski serves as your host as he introduces the different comedy acts. During the comedy acts, the monsters interact with the audience in a very improve type of way making you a big part of the show. We won’t ruin the magic but you are actually having conversations with the monsters on the stage (animated screen). It is a brilliant mix of technology and actual improve comedy that will make this an attraction you will want to go back and see again. FastPass+ is available for Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor but it isn’t necessary most of the time. During the pre-show you can text in your own jokes and there is a chance it may be used during the actual show.

2.         Country Bear Jamboree

The Country Bear Jamboree is a fun 10 minute show filled with song, musical instruments and comedy from the mouths of some of the most interesting bears you will ever see. This original Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom attraction (opened October 1, 1971) has been shortened since its debut but still holds most of its original charm

3.        Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is a classic attraction that was first developed for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Fast forward to today and it still has the same vibe as it did over 50 years ago. The Carousel of Progress is a rotating theatre that take you through the technological changes that your typical family saw from the turn of the century to about the mid 1990’s. There are four scenes that depicts these changes starting with the turn of the century. The second scene bring you up to a Fourth of July celebration during the 1920’s. The third scene references the start of indoor plumbing among other advances of the 1940’s. The final scene is supposed to be the current state of technology but it seems to have been left in the 1990’s. Each scene changes with the playing of the iconic Sherman Brothers song, There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow. The entire attraction takes about 20 minutes from start to finish.
