DINOSAUR is a thrilling, intense prehistoric dark ride located in the DinoLand U.S.A. area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  Your adventure begins in the halls of the Dino Institute, a seemingly normal museum filled with amazing dinosaur fossils and exhibits including a giant Carnotaurus skeleton.  As you make your way deeper into the Dino Institute (queue) you will find yourself in the research control center.  Here you will learn that you will be traveling back in time 65 million years ago aboard your own CTX Time Traveler to bring back a soon to be extinct Iguanodon.  There is just one problem, you are sent back in time right before the moment the earth changing, dinosaur destroying meteor hits the earth.  Will you make it back with the Iguanodon before the meteor hits?  So hop aboard your CTX Time Traveler ride vehicle and prepare to enter the world before time.  Without giving too much away, your ride vehicle is equipped with seat belts that you will need to wear as your adventure at times is fast paced and very bumpy.  The attraction is dark and loud with some amazing dinosaur animatronics.  Overall DINOSAUR is one of the best attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it is on our don’t miss list.  FastPass+ is available for DINOSAUR and is recommended most of the time.

DINOSAUR has a minimum height requirement to ride – 40″

Touring Tips

• If DINOSAUR is a high priority for you head on over early in the morning.  Most people run to either Kilimanjaro Safaris or Expedition Everest before DINOSAUR which generally keeps the early in the day wait times down.

• DINOSAUR is a fairly intense dark ride with loud noises and fast bumpy movements.  If anyone in your group is frightened by this, they might want to skip this attraction.
